Fast Forward Film Festival

yeah, we're lazy bastards and just waited until someone else put our video online.

but now, finally, I present to you:

Can I Help You?

yes, I know it's improv.
it's also filmed in 2 hours,
at 8 in the morning on a saturday.

and I'm still pretty happy with it.

Very happy with it.

And I can't wait to do it again!

murder in park ridge

2 murders, actually. two people were shot dead, just a block away from my sleepy little house in my sleepy little suburb.

When I walked by the house this morning, there was crime scene tape all over the place, and residue from the flares they used to block off the street last night.

funny, this is the same house that was vacant for so many years throughout my childhood - I can't help but feel creeped out and want to make up haunting stories about the whole thing, but all I can do is be sad and just a little bit worried.

comments closed, because somehow telling people how I feel, that saying "I am sad and just a little bit worried" and that I decided not to "mak[e] up haunting stories" is apparantly insulting to people who don't know how to read sympathetic gestures that don't directly address them. I'm sick of dealing with them.

whatever. remind me to tell you the one about the strangers, the haunting, and the illiteracy problem in the midwest....

the simple life.

Gentlemanfriend made me a grilled cheese sandwich last night.
Oh my god that man knows his way around a buttery pan.
Such a culinary treat, bread and cheese and butter in his capable hands.

And I wasn't even high or anything - this sandwich was just amazing, y'all.

He makes me wonder what my favorite childhood treat - grilled peanut butter and chocolate chips on rye - will be like when HE makes it....

{drooool}

pen to paper....or not

so, I'm sitting here, at my desk, signing off on the latest job ticket (adding css to modify some previously tabled content,if you must know) and my fountain pen totally splatters all over the monitor.

ok, I didn't know fountain pens still splattered, anymore - I thought that 2005 pen technology would have solved that problem by now.

but more importantly, I wonder why my coworkers laughed so hard when I asked if LCD's are ink-resistant....
