not at all what I expected. . .
how did I spend my weekend, you ask? crazily enough, I had few, if any actual plans. instead, I threw caution to the wind, and, after recovering from the effects of having caution blown back into my face, I ended up:
- thoroughly enjoying yet another mini-highschool reunion, this time with a young man who looks exactly like he did when I last saw him in 1988, complete with curly locks and slender frame...funnily enough, the only photograph I have of this former duckie-meets-trenchcoatmafia-with-a-dash-of-cusack is when we got married for charity at my freshman year homecoming festival. yes, that's right, I pretend-married duckie. eat your hearts out.
- hanging out with blondie on saturday, singing along to the entire Avenue Q soundtrack while running errands and making each other giggle. watched stage beauty. witnessed family drama from opening argument to stunningly dramatic conclusion. petted the dog.
- figuring out how to build the cute little rollover menus I'm always breaking and fixing at work...so now the studio project I'm putting together (yes, I have a second job. who doesn't?) will look exactly the way my client was hoping it'd look...
- shopping for furniture with my beautiful and talented sister, whose house has some sort of mobius quality to be able to contain 3 year's worth of furniture shopping trips....
- trying not to mope too much over the current breakup. yeah, I know I haven't mentioned it much while we were actually dating. ah well. I'll remember to tell you more next time.
- got my hair cut. it looks fabulous. (as if you had any doubt)

God, Saturday night WAS quite dramatic, wasn't it? How irritating. Well, at least it was REAL drama and not the usual angst manufactured by the stepdaughters. Thanks for being so patient and tolerant!

oh, now now, blondie dear - it was lovely to see successful relationship communication in person! and, of course, to share jellybeans with the dog while you weren't looking....
