still spinning.
yeah, the vertigo is still sucking my soul dry this week, but rob brezny's free will astrology predicts the weekend won't be too shabby:
ARIES:
When actress Mia Farrow was still a teenager, 59-year-old painter Salvador Dali asked her to dinner. As an appetizer, he served her butterfly wings on crackers. "They had almost no taste at all," Farrow told Gregg LaGambina in *Filter.* But she was nevertheless thrilled by the artfulness of the gesture. I expect you'll encounter a similar phenomenon in the coming week, Aries: an exotic treat that'll be rich in symbolism, though not particularly substantial. And that might be just what you need most.
funny, when I had butterflies, they tasted like rust...she must have had special surreal butterflies...

If they tasted like rust, they must have been Iron Butterflies! In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, honey!
(Not showing my age too much, am I?)

God, I am showing my age. And my classic rock roots.
"In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" was a psychedelic rock anthem put out by Iron Butterfly. It was their only "hit", running 17 minutes long, filled with spiraling organ solos and growling guitars. And fairly incomprehensible lyrics.
When I was a DJ at a small midwestern radio station, I had to work two different air shifts. The first was on the AM side of the station, a "music of your life" sort of station. Lots of really boring music, plus Cardinal's baseball games in the summer. The FM side was a top 40 station. I don't know which was worse.
Anyway, one Sunday afternoon, I was on the AM side, bored out of my skull. The program director wandered in, and asked me how it was going. I bet him $20 that I could put the entire first side of "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" on and we wouldn't get a single call, because no one listend to the freaking station on a Sunday afternoon!
I won myself $20 that day. Not a single call.
Anyway...Iron Butterfly, butterflies tasting like rust? Right. Sucks to have to explain a joke.
