June 1.
It's June.
Summer, even though the weather isn't quite cooperating. and here I am, closet full of tank tops and sandals just waiting to be worn.
I think I've already finished my travelling for the season, squeezing three locations into three weekends, finally getting to use that dusty old passport, finally reaching the end of my credit limit, and finally using my reluctantly-relinquished paid vacation day.
although if things change on the career front anytime soon, I'm going to take the time between jobs, raid my savings, and jaunt to argentina...or perhaps egypt....or maybe just boring old europe. it'd be good to go somewhere other than North America, anyway.
damned if I didn't just discover that I love to travel at just the exact wrong moment of my life.
or perhaps it's just the right moment....gives me another goal, to clamber out of debt long enough to enjoy a trip or two before falling into the debt of house ownership...
I'm still too lazy to pull together a photogallery of my floridian, michiganian (hee!), and canadian trips - all the packing, travelling, unpacking, doing laundry, day-to-day cleaning that usually gets done on weekends but is pushed to weekdays because of travelling, library-raiding, and catching-up-with-friends is happily keeping me away from my computer, these days.
oh, and I almost forgot to mention the totally fun and funky museum opening Hannah and Jorge and I attended last weekend - my favorite architectural ornament store expanded threefold and we were delighted to be invited to take part. It's been a while since I've visited my favorite mantels and art-deco glass and it's lovely to see everything shown to full advantage. scary, tho, that without context, the museum areas threaten to rival the house on the rock as house full of piles of 'crazy crap'...
