November 19, 2003

the rewards of being a grown up are few and far between.

I wish I could tell you that my intuition was incorrect.

but I cannot. at the very least, I now know for certain what I had only suspected, a few days ago.

This morning's lucky coincidence: that my crying-girl-in-the-cubicle appearance can be masqued by the unexpectedly high pollen (dust? mold?) count in the office. Everyone here is sniffling and red-eyed, masking the resulting tears of my wistful bravery (the details of which are too sad to recount here) under the guise of allergy.

thanks for your support, all. your kind words are a bubble of happiness, lofting my heavy heart today.

sigh

I'm sorry to read of the troubles, it is familiar territory. If you want to drown yr sorrows in some serums (aka: beer/alcohol) there is a good show this friday nite at the Lyons Den on Irving Park Rd at 9pm. Show up and I'll buy you a drink or two. The info can be found on my blog. Nevertheless I hope that you'll feel better sooner rather than later.

Sorry to hear of your sadness. It does sound as though you've drawn strength from it, and that's a great thing. Although crying in a cubicle is a hard thing to do, I was so happy to hear that you finally had one to cry in.

Hugs.

It could be tons worse; I've thrown up in cubicles before. Try finding an allergy that will help disguise that.

Oh . . . the crying portion of the program . . . oh how it does suck . . . but a few weeks from now you'll be on to the just-dodged-a-bullet segment when you realize how fabulous you are and how less than fabulous he is . . . and until then you have us, your faithful readers, to remind you of your fabulousness . . . :)
