Impishfreak.org and Cutegrrrl.net
I've been reading your weblogs for a while now. okay, maybe not your blog, exactly, but I've been reading people's online diaries since 1989. Pokin' around in the web and seeing what's out there. I love the characters who spring up - how they portray their lives online, how they change and grow or how they stay just so.
I was just chatting with a fellow blogger about how cool it is to read a whole bunch of overlapping blogs every day, and how I feel all "I know these people" when I read that impishfreak.org made a pasta primavera that turned out horribly, and then notice that cutegrrrl.net had pasta primavera that same night... and I notice they start linking to the same freaky museums and that she's posted a whole bunch of photographs at SXSW and he's in every one of them, and even tho I've had a crush on impishfreak for ages, I think "awww, they think they're being all subtle, but we all can totally tell that he adores her..."
And then I think "say, I'm in a weblogging real-life community, where I read their blogs and we all meet up in person and we all get along fabulously and comment hilariously on each other's posts..." and recall a recent drunken marathon of popular-culture infused getting-to-know-you-and-exactly-how-much-puddin'-you-just-bought babble and wonder if I'll be like impish freak and cute grrl someday.
and then I realize I'm getting ahead of myself, and decide "now, what am I gonna do with all that puddin?" and settle in to read some archives. or not.
