Barely formed coherent thoughts
People are so strange. sheesh. Remind me of that, when I get all bunged up about unimportant things, will you?
Unrelated to the unimportance of it all: Had a fabulous conversation with Jack last night - have you ever had a miscommunication so horridly wrong that you were relieved to the point of tears to resolve it? Seriously, I was so relieved to talk to him after having missed our phone appointments for two weeks - so happy we were both wrong in our assumptions, or whathaveyou...I could barely form coherent thoughts for the sheer joy of talking to him. but then again, when you're talking about love and relationships and dating and breakups and whatnot, it's probably best to be incoherent and happy?
Although now that I think about it, we both seemed to <coherently> agree, in principle, that it sucks to be the first to say 'I love you', sucks to be the one to break up with the other when you realize that they're not 'the one', sucks to be somewhat happy in a relationship but not quite able to relax and stop looking around for the next best thing....although he manages to cope in a serially monogamous way, and I in a polyamorous one.
and yet, we're both ethically correct and swingin' bachelors. at least we're doing something right, for now.
and while we're doing something right, I hope we manage to keep what's left of our hearts in a somewhat tidy heap. although I suspect he's happier and healthier than he knows how to say. hell, I may be, as well. happier and healthier, I mean...gah. you know. there's that incoherence, again.
and wow, re-reading that I'd bet y'all may think he and I were dating. we weren't. but, now that you mention it...<wheels turning...sly winking...>
ooh - anyone see the griffin and sabine interactive CD? this webpage evokes the interface in a most fabulous way...makes me wonder what the next issue of NoEast will look like!
