Cleiking Abbie Hoffman's corpse

word of the day: cleik - to catch, as by a hook. to take possession of in whatever way, whether by force or by fraud, as equivalent to catch or snatch away. to cleik the cunyie, a vulgar phrase signifying to lay hold of money; cleik-in-the-back, the lumbago or rheumatism, what takes hold of one as a hook does.

I don't know what cleiked me this week, but I am certain I'll be a kinder, gentler weblogger from now on. wouldn't want the warlings to get us down, would we?

I forgot to mention the "abbie hoffman died for our sins" round-the-clock play festival that Kathryn and I attended this weekend. We saw a whole bunch of stuff before we decided we had exhausted our theatre-appreciation abilities in the wee hours of the morning, but not before seeing our friend Adam (director) and Susie's (actor) piece on the purpose of-, or practice of-, or something of- sex, there was a fly, a voyeuristic couple, a cockroach, and newly-moved-in-lovers...and a darlingly squirmy narrator. bravo, dahlinks!
