Gardyloo! Thar goes a litherman's load!
two words from the weekend:
lithermon's-load: A greater load that can well be carried at one time, but is nevertheless undertaken to save the trouble of another journey -- a lazy man's load.
gardyloo: a warning cry about 'dirty' water thrown from windows to the streets. From the French gare l'eau, beware of the water.
of course, this makes me want to invent a word that means 'beware of taking on a greater load than can be well carried at one time..."
instead of talking about the rollercoaster of a weekend, I think I'll just ask y'all to check this lovely little completely unrelated typeface flash: Behind the Typeface.
