fetisheeress and the man who wasn't there

word of the day: fetisheer - A charmer, sorcerer, medicine-man, priest; hence fetisheeress, a female fetisheer; [1600s-1800s]

I love my word a day calendar, but why would they assume that we've heard 'fetisheeress'?

about the surgery:so, I'm feeling quite shy about being so worried about the wisdom tooth extraction. it's not the extraction I should have been worried about. you haven't lived until you've seen 10 grains of rice bubble up out of a socket in your mouth. I didn't think there was that much tooth to leave that much of a space. seriously.

movie update: I finally saw The Man Who Wasn't There this weekend, and am terribly glad that I did. It was beautifully shot, weirdly written, and incredibly acted. I went in knowing NOTHING about what happens, so I won't ruin it for you with spoilers. Just know two things: that billy bob thornton is amazing, and that this is the best cohen brothers film ever made. so far. but then again, I HATED Raising Arizona, so perhaps I'm not really one to say?
