Previewing Donna Tartt
from popculturejunkmail
" I know there are other Donna Tartt fans out there, who every so often let themselves sink back into the wonderfully detailed, sharply created world of her wonderful first novel, "The Secret History." After a decade of drought, fans can now enjoy two upcoming works by Tartt. She has a piece in "The Best of the Oxford American: Ten Years of Contemporary Southern Writing," and at long last, her new novel, "The Little Friend," is due out in the fall. I know, I know -- we've all heard for years that her new book was just around the corner, but this one seems for real -- I already pre-ordered mine from Amazon. Says another Tartt fan site: "'It's a book about children - but not for children - it's a frightening, scary book about children coming into contact with the world of adults in a very frightening way'."
something to look forward to, when I get better.
