Siempre Con Senor Coconut
Saw Y Tu Mama Tambien, finally. Yeah, it wasn't a bad little movie, but I really get antsy during 'road movies' - I really hate road trips, myself, what with all the mindless, endless, boring road, the bad rest-stop food....oh god, I can feel the motion sickness coming on...
The best thing about the movie for me (no, it wasn't the fake boobies, although they were purty) was one song on the soundtrack.
Track 4, Senor Coconut: "Show Room Dummies".
Mariachi Kraftwerk. How can you not love that? Granted, I don't think I've heard the original of that song, but I love the mariachi version, don't you?(while you're at it, listen to this one, too

The Amazing Kreskin takes Michael Chabon Author Photograph
So, anyway, I'm on a Chabon kick this month (you must look at his photograph. he is incapable of seeing a camera and not bugging out his eyes like he's hypnotized). Read Kavelier and Klay, then The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, and watched Wonder Boys last night.
you know, despite having Michael Douglas as the main character, this movie was pretty damned good. seriously.

Prottock
word of the week: prottock
To prottock about, to play about, enjoy freedom, show off fine clothes and the like. Used of servant girls on holiday.
It just sounds so delightfully dirty, don't you think?

An Exquisite Corpse dot Net
ooh! Two of my corpses came up in one week! People will start to think I actually do them in a timely and well-thought out fashion!

Quoting IMs is boring
yes, yes, I know it's totally boring to quote your own IMs, but I gotta say, phin hit it on the head when he said this was the silliest thing I've ever written:
ooh. you think you're so rolling in the good corpses, you don't come crying to me when you're looking for one and you can't find one. I'll be quietly rotted over here.
no, context will not be provided. that'd be cheating.

Midwestern, and not minding it a bit.
you know, I was a webgeek all last year. it was all I did for a living - I met with clients, built prototypes, redeveloped the prototypes, then filled in the content and all that...anyhoo, over the last 6 months I've forgotten everything I learned.
that's right. everything. not a single HTML or CSS thing stuck. so, I'm back to square one, and hoping to be able to figure things out so I can 'blog' with you-all again.
in the mean time, enjoy the new 'design', the purty drawing (by phin, don'tchaknow?), click on my links to other people who still remember how to use html, and remember: I may be midwestern, but I don't mind it a bit.
